Book processing credits

Payments for Answer with Books are collected by Crowdlisten through Stripe. Credits represent a US-dollar account balance: a $5 top-up adds $5 to your balance. A top-up is a one-time purchase; it does not create a subscription or enable automatic reloads.

Existing public books and your completed private book results are free to read, search, download, and reuse. Generating with your own agent has no Answer with Books generation charge; your agent provider may charge separately.

Before new hosted generation, you approve a maximum additional spend. We reserve that amount from your balance. Actual usage is charged at the token rates shown before you approve, calculated separately for input, cached input and output, then rounded up once for the accumulated run total to the nearest cent. Generation, reviews, repairs and generated covers count toward this limit. Status checks, retrieval, downloads, storage and reuse do not create token charges here.

Consumed provider usage is charged even if generation fails or you cancel. Unused reserved funds return to your available balance; this is not a card refund. Work pauses before a call whose reserved cost would exceed your approved limit. Missing or inconsistent provider receipts keep funds reserved for reconciliation instead of creating an estimated final charge. No higher limit is accepted automatically.

Your book and skill can become available before the optional cover finishes. The reservation remains until included generation ends and usage can be settled.

Your uploaded sources and generated private results remain in your own library. Processing a different source or requesting a new revision can require another quote. Before accepting, review the source, options, amount, and expiration shown.

Credits are added after payment is confirmed, not merely after returning from checkout. Your billing page lists the balance, conversion charges, and purchase receipts. If a payment is delayed or a charge seems incorrect, contact billing support. You can also contact support to request a refund of unused credits.

Generated summaries and skills can contain mistakes. Check important claims against the source citations. These payment terms supplement the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
